"It's not only a matter of principle, it's the principal that matters." - unknown
My name is Tom O’Hara and this is my ninth year as the principal of G. Harold Antrim Elementary School. Years ago when I was a student here and at Point Pleasant Beach High School (Class of ’81), I could never have imagined being back in the principal’s office.
I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree from Lock Haven (PA) University, my Master’s Degree from Jersey City State College and am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Education at Walden University. I have thirteen years of experience in school administration and have been an assistant principal at two local school districts prior to my current position. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in Health, Physical Education and Drivers’ Education along with experience coaching soccer, basketball and track from the middle school level to being a head coach at the varsity level.
I enjoy watching all types of sports especially when my sons are competing. I still stay involved in soccer by refereeing both club and high school soccer games. In my free time I like to run and spend time with my wife, sons and friends. I like to go on vacations to warm climates to get away and relax.
I currently reside in Point Pleasant with my wife, Lynn, and two sons. Nick is a junior at Florida Gulf Coast University and Kellen is a senior at Point Pleasant Boro High School.
